Mum's Birthday

Afternoon ladies (and gents!)

I took myself off shopping yesterday for new stash as I was very generously given lots of vouchers for my favourite craft shops when I left my job a couple of weeks ago. Promarkers and Nesties very willingly threw themselves into my basket along with a new flower punch and various other essentials ;) But after sitting in traffic for an hour and spending over 15 mins at the till when my vouchers caused problems I couldn't get off the sofa when I got home and didn't even put the stash away!

But it's my mum's birthday tomorrow, so I had to shift my bum and make another card! and here it is:

I've used the beautiful "Swinging Chloe" stamp from Pink Gem and coloured her with Promarkers. The papers and ribbon are from papermania. I used my new embossed flower punch from x-cut and teamed them with roses from wild orchid coated in glamour dust.

I cut Chole out with my new nesties and embossed the mat with a cuttlebug folder. The butterflies and sentiment are Anita's.

Stampin for the Weekend Challenge 5 Springtime

Good Morning Everyone!

So here is my DT card:

I've used the 'Spring Chloe' stamp from Pink Gem Designs and I've coloured her with Promarkers. The papers are from the Forever Friends Spring Time collection (how appropriate!) and the ribbon is papermania. The Flowers are from Wild Orchid and I've coated them with Glamour dust. The leaf pins finish the design, which were from The Ribbon Girl.

All that glitters

Evening all!

I'm back as promised with another card, I put most of this together yesterday, but needed to wait for the glitter to dry before I could finish it off. I've spent this evening sourcing supplies for more wedding stationary, and inevitably a few things jumped into the basket for me....!!

I'm back at last! I mentioned on my last post that I wasn't very well- I'm still not 100% three weeks later! I've been poorly with a cough and a cold, then I started a new job and my carfting had to take a back seat for a while. Anyway, I'm back now and I have a card to share with you:

Monday Blues

Morning everyone

I started to feel poorly last night, and now I feel dreadful! My throat has decided to close up and cause me imense pain if I dare to try and swallow.

Luckly I made this card yesterday and didn't get around to posting it:

I've made this card for the Passion for Promarkers inspirational photo challenge. I used papers from Papermania, the image is from Pink Gem, the sentiment is LOTV and the flowers are Wild Orchid. I'm also entering this into A Gem of a Challenge as I have used the challenge sketch.

I'm off to get back in bed and try to catch up on the sleep I missed out on last night.

Puppy Love

Morning Bloggers!


Its very cold and blustery here in the middle of the UK, perfect weather for making excuses not to go out so I can stay in and craft! I seem to have heaps of challenges to catch up on, so here is my first card for today:

Spring Chloe

Hello friends

I've not been able to craft half as much as I would have liked today, as my Brother and his fiance came by to order their wedding stationary :) I've got evening invites, order of services and place cards coming out of my ears!! I'm going to be very very busy for the next few months!

But it hasn't stopped me having a play with my lovely new Pink Gem stamps:

The stamp is called "Spring Chloe" and I've coloured her with promarkers. The papers are from V&A, the ribbon is papermania, the flowers are from Wild Orchid and the sentiment is LOTV. I embossed the green paper with Cuttlebugs' 'Birds & Swirls' and created faux stitching with a white gel pen.

I'm entering this card into A Gem of a Challenge, where I have followed their sketch. I'll be back tomorrow as usual with some more cards.

So here is my DT card:

I've used a free Digi stamp and sentiment that I found through Free Digital Stamps and coloured them with Promarkers.

The papers are from the papermania red hot capsule collection. The cardstock is coordinations. I used a nestie to cut the scalloped circle and embossed it. I then sanded it to expose the core. The ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl and the flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts.

Penny Black Cutie

Its fast approaching my favourite time of the week- The weekend! Its been a hard week so far, so tonight I tucked myself away in my craft room and had a play with some of my new goodies :)

Collie Puppy

I'm back again!

I have some digi stamps of a puppy saved on my computer which I printed out, and then sat and stared at for a while....... My dilemma- how to colour a puppy? None of my colour combinations seemed to work, they didn't look real enough and this is very frustrating! Then inspiration hit me, in the form of my best friends dog Dexter. I quickly scooted over to her facebook page and found exactly what I was looking for:

and from this photo, I came up with this:

Which I used to create this card:

The papers are Forever Friends and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The pearls and sentiment were in my stash. I'm really pleased with how this has come out, so every puppy I colour will now be a blue and white collie :)

Young Love

Hi everyone!

Its been another very busy weekend again, I've hardly left the craft room as I've been getting on with the stationary for my best friends wedding. I'm waiting for some materials now, so I've had to put them down for the time being. Thankfully this means I've been freed up to make some challenge cards! and here is my first for today:

Dreaming of Summer days...x

Hello everyone!

I had the urge to make something in yellow, probably because its so cold, miserable and dull here. Luckily for me, the new Spring Time papers from Forever Friends has lots of sunny coloured papers for me to play with- and this is what I came up with:

I chose to stick to a simple layout to let the image be the main focus- He's a gorgeous lil heggie from Penny Black that I bought in the January Sales- which is the theme for this weeks Penny Black Saturday Challenge.

I'm also entering this card into Passion for Promarkers who are running with the theme "All you need is love" I think this heggie could have picked this flower for his girlfriend ;)

Pink, Green & Brown

Evening all!

I've had a very long and hard day,..... making cards! :) lol.

I needed to make a card that uses the colours Pink, Green & Brown. This seemed easy enough until I tried to match up some papers- then crafters block set in and nothing looked right :(
I've been through just about every pad in my stash and all through my scraps bag!

This is what I've come up with:

Matching the image to the papers was easy though!

The image is a Pink Gem digi called "Summer Milly" and I've coloured her with Promarkers. The papers come from various Forever Friends pads. The ribbon and gems are Papermania.

Cute Elephants

Good Morning!

I'm up and about stupidly early for a Sunday morning because I left the heating on overnight and I couldn't breathe by 5:30am!! There are some mercies though, I've been able to catch up on my blog reading and recorded programmes undisturbed by the boy :)

Anyway, I made another card yesterday, but didn't post it as I like to try and space them out a little. Here it is:

The image is a Pink Gem freebie which can be found here, I've coloured it with promarkers and chalks. The papers are from the new Forever Friends spring collection, and some from my stash. The punched boarder is x-cut and the ribbon is from the ribbon girl.

KISS- Keep It Sweet & Simple!

Over at I love promarkers they have a KISS theme running, kiss meaning Keep It Sweet & Simple! I needed to make a birthday card for my uncle as his special day is coming up so here is his card:

Keeping it simple is actually quite difficult as I love embellishments so much! I want to add gems and flowers and ribbon and punched strips and buttons, brads and stickers etc etc!!

I hope I've done this card justice, and that it matches the theme.

The stamp came free with a magazine this week, hes called Bently Bear. The papers are from all over my stash and the brads are papermania.

Owls and Butterflies

Hi everyone!

I got another lovely Saturday morning surprise again today when I found out that my card was chosen as one of the top three over at A Gem of a Challenge! My prize is the lovely pink flashy badge over there ------>

So onto todays cards, as I have lots of challenges to make for.

Monochrome

Hello everyone

Time for another card :) Cute Card Thursday have a monochrome challenge running. I really have difficulty with monochrome as I struggle to allow myself to use a colour. So I've gone all white for this card:

I coloured this kitty a while ago, but I've had a dilemma with what type of card to use him on! Who wants a grumpy cat to celebrate their birthday? he hardly looks like hes saying 'Thank You' either!

I settled with a New Job card, as this might be how your old work mates are feeling when you leave :)

Nice Tackle!!

Evening all!!

If theres one type of card I hate doing, its mens cards. But men are a necessity in our lives and require cards from time to time. Its even more difficult if they don't have a hobby or interest! Luckily the man that this card is for loves football!!

The image, papers and sentiment all come from Papermania's Its a mans world. I've coloured him with promarkers and used chalks to go around the edge. The ribbon is Anitas and the buttons were in my stash.
